Taurrus Live Reptile Mite Control – Medium – is the 100% natural, biological, enemy of the reptile mite.

TAURRUS is a living organism (predatory mite) that is a natural enemy of the snake mite (Ophionyssus natricis).

TAURRUS mite predators are very small, measuring less than 1mm as adults.  They are able to live for several weeks and reproduce in the areas where they find their prey.  Despite its small size, the TAURRUS predator acts aggressively and is able to attack and kill prey 3 to 4 times larger than itself.  Once released, the microscopic predators will actively seek and consume parasites.  Once eliminated, the predators disappear naturally.  The mode of action requires several days.  After introduction of TAURRUS, pest populations should be monitored: at first it will stabilize, and then gradually decline.  In heavy infestations, several releases may be needed to eradicate all parasites.

Taurrus is 100% safe to animals and humans, the predatory mites only feed upon parasites and their eggs and die once their task is done. Ideal for snakes, lizards and pet invertebrates’ such as beetles or spiders. What makes Taurrus particularly useful is that it can be used in existing set ups eliminating the need to strip down an animals enclosure to apply. Either used as a preventative measure or as a treatment for a full blown mite infestation, Taurrus is a safe and natural control for unwanted mites. No risk of overdose and the more used the quicker the results.

 Taurrus Medium can treat an area of 0.5m squared when being used to combat a mite infestation, or if being used to prevent a mite contamination can treat an area of 1m squared.
